02.08.2013: Sigurbjörn competed with Stroka at the Stòrmot in Hella and was third into the finals. He did great untill he was unfortunately disqualified for falling off the horse. Even though he was really quick to get back on horseback, he was not fast enough for the judges.

The first horse from Stòra-hof has been shown in a breeding-show this year. IS2007186005 Alvar frá Stóra-Hof, son of örk frà Stòra-hofi and Aron frà Strandarhöfdi went to 1st price with 8.06 overall, being 4-gaited. 9 for Tölt, Trot and Canter included. Take a look at the videos of the breeding show.

IS2003186003 - Heljar frá Stóra-Hofi (V: IS1998184713 - Aron frá Strandarhöfði, M: IS1987286093 - Morgunstjarna frá Stóra-Hofi) was shown in 2011 by Silvia Ochsenreiter-Egli (www.hafnersholt.de). The last horse from Stòra-Hof has been shown in a breedingshow 2011 by Daniel Jonsson and it also went to 1st-price. The halfsister to Tumi frà Stòra-Hofi and daughter of Glampi frà Vatnsleysu, Stjarna fra Stòra-Hofi got a total of 8.06 with 8.13 for conformation (9 proportions, 8.5 neck/shoulder) and 8.01 for riddenabilities (4-gaited, 9 tölt, character and form under rider).

The first two horses from Stòra-Hof were shown in an international breeding show in Wurz, Germany. Both went to 1-st-price and were shown by Silvia Ochsenreiter-Egli (www.hafnersholt.de). IS2003186003 - Heljar frá Stóra-Hofi (V: IS1998184713 - Aron frá Strandarhöfði, M: IS1987286093 - Morgunstjarna frá Stóra-Hofi) got 8.02 for Conformation and 8.21 for Ridden ability including 10 for walk, adding up to 8.13 in total. Heljar is the only stallion in the world to have gotten 10 for walk!IS2003286007 - Ríkey frá Stóra-Hofi (V: IS1997186008 - Góður-Greifi frá Stóra-Hofi, M: IS1991257003 - Sverta frá Sauðárkróki) got 8.06 for Conformation and 8.04 for Ridden ability adding up to a TOTAL of 8.05.

To round up the last breedingshows of 2010, two mares from Stòra-hof went to first-price.
- IS2003286014 - Slaufa frá Stóra-Hofi got a Total of 8.18 with 8.39 for riiden ability including 9 för tölt and slow tölt. Congratulations to the new owners in Switzerland.
- IS2001286016 - Stör frá Stóra-Hofi got a Total of 8.04 with 8.16 for ridden ability. Congratulations to Majbrit in Denmark.

NEW SALES-HORSES! There are a couple of new sales-horses in our stable. Such as IS2004286018 - Rimma frá Stóra-Hofi (left picture below) or IS2004286017 - Þoka frá Stóra-Hofi (right picture below). AGAIN Viðar Ingólfsson and Tumi frá Stóra-Hofi!!! After winning the T2 of the Meistaradeild VÍS on the 28-02-2010 they now won the Gæðinga-Freestyle at the Meistaradeild VÍS. Congratulations again! It will be interesting to see what they will be able to show in the T1!

Tumi frá Stóra-Hofi once again prooved to be one of the very best toelt-horses in Iceland. Not in T1, but in T2 this time at the Meistaradeild VÍS did Viðar Ingólfsson and his friend Tumi dominate the show and win with a total of 8.50. Congratulations again!

IS2007186005 - Alvar frá Stóra-Hofi son of IS1998184713 - Aron frá Strandarhöfði and IS2001286003 - Örk frá Stóra-Hofi was the winner of the northern german young-stallions judgement with a total of 8.17, including 8.30 for gaits. Congratulations to the owner Peter Belkowitz!
Christmas/New Year 2009:
2009 has been a special year in many ways. Including 2 of our horses being under the top ten world wide in the class of 6 year old mares and stallions. Stígandi frá Stóra-Hofi (IS2003186002) was shown by Þórður Þorgeirsson, they got 8.10 for Conformation and 8.72 for Ridden ability, which TOTALs at 8.47. Thus being 6th best 6 year old stallion globally. On the other hand Unun frá Stóra-Hofi was shown by Þórður Þorgeirsson in Wurz, Germany. They got 8.26 for Conformation an 8.46 for Ridden ability , which TOTALed in 8.38, thus aslo being 6th best in her class world wide.

Fursti frá Stóra-Hofi and Daniel Jonsson improved to 2nd place in the final of the A-flokkur gæðinga at the Sumarhátíð in Hella. Congratulations Daniel!!!

In his first competitional appearence in A-flokki gæðinga Fursti frá Stóra-Hofi went straight to the final at the Sumarhátíð in Hella. Coming straight from the mares without training at all Fursti got 8.47. Sunday's final will show what Daniel and Fursti are up for.

Tumi frá Stóra-Hofi is ICELANDIC CHAMPION in the T1-Tölt once again. Together with Viðar Ingólfsson Tumi was able to win the Final coming up from 3rd place with a final score of 9.00. Congratualions!

Darri frá Stóra-Hofi (IS2005186001) was shown in Gaddstaðaflötum by Jóhann K. Ragnarsson. He went straight to first prize. Conformation: 8.08, Ridden ability: 8.00, TOTAL: 8.03. Darri is a son of Þorri frá Þúfu (IS1989184551) and Hnota frá Stóra-Hofi (IS1985286028).

Illingur frá Tóftum (IS1998187280) was shown in Gaddstaðaflötum by Daniel Jonsson and got the highest numbers globally so far this year. Conformation: 8.51, Ridden ability: 8.88, TOTAL: 8.73. Just to remind everyone Illingur is still for sale and ready to go to the World Championships in Switzerland together with Daniel.

At the breeding show at Sörlastöðum Stígandi frá Stóra-Hofi (IS2003186002) was shown by Þórður Þorgeirsson. The son of Hnota frá Stóra-Hofi (IS1985286028) and Aron frá Strandarhöfði (IS1998184713) got 8.10 for Conformation and 8.72 for Ridden ability, which TOTALs at 8.47.
